Bio

Valentina Luna (b. New York City, New York, 1995) is a Colombian/Mexican visual artist currently residing in New York City. With a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Luna has cultivated a practice deeply rooted in the vibrant colors of her culture.

Luna’s work has evolved through various phases, from hard-edged abstraction to a softer, more fluid exploration of motion. Now focused on the emotional and symbolic language of color, Luna’s paintings are about capturing the essence of color itself.

Influenced by the Color Field movement and artists from the Washington Color School like Kenneth Noland and Morris Louis, Luna uses color as a means of expression.

Luna’s works have been featured in private collections across New York, Miami, Bogotá, and Mexico City, continuing to resonate with audiences who engage with the emotion and depth in her use of color. Through her evolving practice, Luna invites viewers to experience color not just as a visual element, but as a powerful, transformative force—where color itself is enough, where it speaks and stands alone, capable of evoking profound emotions.
